Hello everybody,

My name is Ton and I am from Holland (Europe).
Just joined this US Renault club because I liked the fact that also in the States some people like Renault.
You would love to live here, because the streets are crowded with all kind of Renaults you don't know, you would like it very much, I am sure.
I would like to present you one of those unknown cars: my Renault 5 GT Turbo. This car is from 1990 and was one the best small cars produced back then. Very light (around 1850 lb) and combined with a turbo charged 1.4 liter cléon engine (1397cc) producing 120 bhp, it feels fantastic. Great to have fun with on the straight and in the corners. Unfortunately our roads are not as empty as those in the States, so you have to be careful.

Here is a nice british commercial about the 5 GTT :

And here are some pics of my lovely little hatchback.:)

Alloy wheels, like the paint, are from the Clio Williams, isn't it ? :)

Thanks for your positive reactions.
The colour is # 449 Renault Bleu Sport, it was the final limited version of the Renault 5 GT Turbo before it was replaced by the Clio 2.0 16V (without Turbo unfortunately) in 1991.

In 1993 Renault introduced the true successor of the 5 GTT, the Clio Williams with a 2.0 liter 150 bhp engine. The 15" alloys are from the Clio 16V, normally a 5 GTT has very small 13" wheels. With 15" wheels the roadholding improves significantly. What do you think? should I go back to the originals? (which I still have)
