Carlisle Import & Kit Nationals
May 20 - 22, 2011

The theme for 2011 Import Meet is French models and we are expecting to have over 150 different models from Alpine, Citroen, De Dion Bouton, Rene Bonnet, Breese, Peugeot, Renault, Simca, and others of the nearly 1500 cars on display. On Saturday May 21st we are planning to display all French cars on the showfield by year. As this will be the first International meet to feature all French models, in conjunction with the Carlisle Import Show so make your plans to join us.

The Renault Owners Club of North America is planning two Unique displays as well as celebrating two milestones. In our indoor display in Building Y, we plan to feature three centuries of French vehicles. In the showfield we plan to feature all models built on the R9/Alliance platform including the R11/Encore and R5/Supercinq. We will have versions of every model displayed including convertible and GTA models. The centerpiece of this display will be the first Alliance ever built which until recently was part of Walter P. Chrysler collection.

On top of all these great displays The Renault Owners Club of North America was established in May 1991, originally listed as the "Renault Owners Club of Southern California" with ten founding members. Today we have more than 400 members and we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary. So look for a unique display in our club tent, and a large celebration.

We have unique events planned for each day. On Friday we will be unveiling a R8 Gordini that has undergone a three year restoration project. Also Jonathan Burnette will be doing a seminar about his recent 10,000 mile Journey in a Renault Dauphine to Alaska and back. On Saturday Kirk Gibson will be driving his 1907 Renault Vanderbilt Cup Racer on the Carlisle race circuit. (weather permitting) As well as Lloyd Mathis doing a demonstration on installing a window at the special Alliance display. Finally on Sunday we will have a swap meet as well as car show featuring all the Renaults in one display.

Just added! We have decided to add scenic driving tours on Friday and Saturday afternoon. The tours will consist of 30-45 drives on challenging roads surrounding Carlisle. There will be three different driving groups for those looking for a leisure cruise, exciting drive, or all out road rally.

This is a one of a kind opportunity to see French cars from all eras in one unique setting. We have chosen 19 cars for the Invitational Display.
