25 Anniversary Celebration Dayton Ohio Sept 16-18

The 10th Annual Dayton Concours d'Elegance will be held the weekend of September 16, 17 & 18, 2016 at Carillon Park in Dayton, OH. The park itself features numerous exhibits on the region?s transportation and industrial history. Carillon Park is one of the finest settings for a car show you will find. This year?s featured vehicles are: The cars of France. Show field is limited to 200 vehicles & each class has a max of 12 vehicles. At this point it appears there will be at least two classes of French cars. The first will be a judged class and the second will be a non-judged. Registration for the event will open in late February/ early March.

There will also be Cars & Coffee on Saturday morning that will be open to all French Cars; The Renault Owners Club of North America will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary and will be making this our National meet for 2016, so we are planning a wide array of activities during the weekend in the Dayton Area. Following the French Cars and Coffee we will have a driving tour, where participant teams can enjoy the scenic roads around Dayton and navigate the route by landmarks along the way. There will be prizes for those who find the most landmarks and the team that finishes the event quickest.
There are numerous transportation related activities to visit in the Dayton area. We plan to tour several during the weekend, First being The National Air Force Museum which is currently being expanded to a new fourth building and will be opening next summer in time for our event. Another must see is America?s Packard Museum, it is the world?s only Packard Dealership operating as a museum. There are other numerous car museums and private collections featuring British, Italian, German, and even American Hot Rods, so if any of these interest you let us know and we can try to arrange tours.

Other items of interest in Dayton would include the home of the Wright Brothers, Dayton Art Institute, and the Sun Watch Indian Village. For those looking for libation, you can go one of two ways and enjoy a traditional colonial meal at Newcomb Tavern, or if you are up for a Beer Pub Crawl/Drive Dayton has 8 microbrews in and around the city. If you decide to visit them all you better line up a designated driver.

This will be the third time the Renault Owners Club has had an event in Dayton and it is always great. We have a strong Ohio Chapter who organize and coordinate the event.
