Default R17 Gordini and TL differences

    Hi All,

I've currently got a 1974 R17 Gordini (1323) that I want to restore, it's quite rusty and missing a bit. I have chance to get a 1974 R7 TL in fairly good shape. I'm considering using it a a donor, does anyone know how different the body and trim is between the two? i.e. will a TL hood & fenders fit a TS/Gordini?

    Thanks

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

So sorry I know I had missed an email of yours and then just saw the post.

The parts are the same between cars, its all in the engine, transmission, and other things, but in regards to the body, feel safe buying her as a donor as far as compatability.

    I hope this helps.

    Best of luck!!

    Steve

    Hi Mike,

Only thing on the body that is different between a TL and a TS/Gordini is the gearbox hump in the floor of the car.
That's if the American R17 TL's had a 4 speed gearbox, if it's an automatic then the hump is even bigger then the 5 speed gearbox hump.
The rest of the body is the same.

    Greetings Sebastian.
